Anthropic offers verified nonprofits the Claude Team plan at US$8 per user per month (US$3 in low and middle-income countries), custom-priced Enterprise plans, connectors to nonprofit tools and a free AI fluency course. Verification is through Goodstack.

Who's eligible
Verified 501(c)(3) organisations and international equivalents, plus K-12 schools and certain mission-based US healthcare providers (critical access hospitals, rural emergency hospitals, FQHCs and rural health clinics). The page does not list countries; the lower US$3 price applies to nonprofits in low and middle-income countries.
- Be a verified 501(c)(3) or international equivalent (verified by Goodstack)
- Team plan: 150 seats or fewer. Larger organisations go through the Enterprise sales route
- K-12 schools and certain US healthcare providers can also qualify

- Organisations Goodstack cannot verify as nonprofits
- Other education and healthcare organisations outside the listed types
How to apply
- 1Go to claude.com/solutions/nonprofits and choose to apply.
- 2Verify your organisation through Goodstack (the page says this takes a few minutes).
- 3After approval you receive an email to finish setting up your Team plan with the nonprofit price applied.
- 4Invite your staff, set sharing and data controls, and connect your nonprofit tools if useful.
- 5For more than 150 seats, contact Anthropic's nonprofit sales team for Enterprise.
Typical approval time: Anthropic says verification takes a few minutes for the Team plan when Goodstack can match your organisation; otherwise longer.

- Registration number (searched in Goodstack's registry) and, if asked, your registration certificate or tax-exemption letter
Tips
- Secondary sources describe the offer as up to 75 per cent off Team and Enterprise. Anthropic's page shows the actual per-seat prices; use those.
- Add a short AI use policy before you roll it out. No one should paste sensitive client or donor data into any AI tool without a clear rule.
- There is no confirmed nonprofit discount on the Claude API; ask Anthropic.
