Claude is Anthropic's AI assistant for drafting appeals, grant applications and policies, summarising long documents, analysing data and building files such as slides and spreadsheets. Claude for Nonprofits offers a discounted Team plan with connectors to tools such as Blackbaud, Benevity and Candid, plus Claude Cowork for agent-style tasks. Anthropic also offers lower pricing for organisations in low- and middle-income countries and a free AI Fluency for Nonprofits course.

Pricing: Nonprofit Team plan is US$8 per user per month, or US$3 in low- and middle-income countries, with a minimum of 2 seats (claude.com/solutions/nonprofits, 2 October 2026). Enterprise is custom. For comparison, Claude's pricing page lists Free at US$0, Pro at US$17 a month billed annually (US$20 monthly), and standard Team seats at US$20 per person a month billed annually (US$25 monthly). Usage limits apply on every plan.

The product is AI: Claude models for chat, long-document analysis, file creation, research, coding and Cowork agent tasks.

Data & privacy+

Anthropic states that by default it does not use inputs or outputs from commercial products (Team, Enterprise, API) for model training. Exceptions: if a user rates a reply with thumbs up or down, the whole conversation is stored for up to 5 years and may be used after de-identification; Team and Enterprise owners can turn off the 'Rate chats' setting. Deleted conversations disappear from your history immediately and are deleted from Anthropic's back-end systems within 30 days. Enterprise customers can set custom retention (minimum 30 days); Team workspaces do not have an equivalent control (secondary source). Consumer plans (Free, Pro, Max) follow separate rules, where a training setting can be switched on and then keeps de-identified data for up to 5 years. Data-hosting regions were not confirmed.
