What you get

  • Extra seats beyond 50 at a nonprofit discount on Canva's Enterprise pricing (Canva's page says 50 per cent off)

Who's eligible

Canva says the program is available in 175+ countries. Eligibility depends on being officially registered as a charitable nonprofit in your country and passing Goodstack's country-specific rules.

  • Be officially registered as a charitable nonprofit, NGO or social impact organisation in your country (501(c)(3) in the US)
  • Be independent of government and operate on a not-for-profit basis for public benefit
  • Provide proof of registration and governing documents showing your charitable purpose
  • Be accepted at Canva's sole discretion

Usually not eligible

  • Government agencies, state-owned enterprises, public hospitals and political organisations
  • K-12 schools, colleges and universities (they use Canva Education or Canva for Campus)
  • 501(c)(4) to (7) organisations, membership-based organisations, trade associations, sports organisations, financial institutions and for-profit businesses
  • Foundations that mainly make grants

How to apply

  1. 1Read Canva's eligibility guidelines at canva.com/canva-for-nonprofits/eligibility-guidelines.
  2. 2Create a Canva account (free) with a work email, or sign in.
  3. 3Go to canva.com/nfp-signup and select Get started.
  4. 4Search for your organisation in the Goodstack form and submit it. Upload documents if asked.
  5. 5Wait for the decision by email (reported anywhere from 1 business day to about 10 days; international applications can take longer).
  6. 6Once approved, invite your team (up to 50 people) and set up your Brand Kit.

Typical approval time: Not stated on Canva's page. Goodstack says typically 1 to 3 business days; community guides report up to 7 to 10 days.

Have these ready

  • Your registration number or charity number (searched in Goodstack's registry)
  • If asked: registration certificate or tax-exemption letter and governing documents (see the Goodstack entry for accepted documents)

Tips

  • Apply from a team account the organisation owns so the benefit stays when staff leave.
  • Canva decides eligibility at its sole discretion, so meeting the criteria does not guarantee approval.
  • If you are rejected, check whether your organisation type (for example a membership body or a sports club) is in the excluded list before reapplying.
