About Canva+
Canva is a web and mobile design tool with templates for social media posts, flyers, posters, reports, presentations, simple videos and more. It needs no design training, so staff and volunteers can produce on-brand material quickly. Eligible nonprofits get the Pro-level features and team tools free, which makes it the default design choice for most small organisations.
Pricing: Free plan available. Pro is listed at US$144/year and Business at US$250/year per person. An AI Pass add-on gives a larger monthly AI allowance. Eligible nonprofits do not pay for the first team of up to 50 users.
Key features+
AI features+
Magic Studio includes text-to-image, Magic Write for drafting copy, Magic Edit, background remover and video tools. Free users get a small monthly AI allowance and paid plans get more.
Data & privacy+
Canva states it stores data in the United States, with processing in several other countries (including Australia, the UK, Singapore and Europe) under data processing agreements; for European users it relies on EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Canva says content from Education and Business/Enterprise accounts is not used to improve its AI features; for Free and Pro accounts this is governed by each user's privacy settings, so check and turn off the AI-training setting if you handle sensitive material. Canva's page does not say how the nonprofit plan is treated, so check the settings after you are approved.
How sure are we?+
Prices and offers confirmed on the vendor's own pages. Prices and nonprofit programs change often, so check with Canva before you commit. Rankings on Nonprofit Tools are never for sale.
