YouTube Nonprofit Program
A free add-on to Google for Nonprofits that unlocks nonprofit-specific features on your YouTube channel, such as link cards. YouTube Giving fundraisers (the Donate button) are limited to US nonprofits.

- For US 501(c)(3)s only: the right to receive money from YouTube Giving fundraisers set up by creators, paid out through Network for Good with processing fees paid by YouTube
Who's eligible
Any country where Google for Nonprofits has launched the YouTube Nonprofit Program (Google's activation page links to a country list that could not be read). YouTube Giving donations are for US nonprofits only.
- An approved Google for Nonprofits account
- A YouTube channel (and channel ID) that can be easily verified as belonging to your organisation
- For YouTube Giving: a US-based 501(c)(3) listed on Candid/GuideStar that has opted in to online fundraising and Network for Good disbursements
Usually not eligible
- Organisations without a Google for Nonprofits account
- Non-US organisations for YouTube Giving donations
- Channels that cannot be verified as the organisation's own
How to apply
- 1Get approved for Google for Nonprofits (verified by Goodstack).
- 2Make sure your organisation has a YouTube channel that clearly belongs to it, and find your channel ID.
- 3Sign in to Google for Nonprofits with the admin account, and under YouTube Nonprofit Program click Get Started.
- 4Follow the steps and wait for Google's email.
- 5US charities only: opt in to receive third-party donations on Candid (GuideStar) and with Network for Good if you want creators to be able to fundraise for you.
Typical approval time: Google says its review takes 2 to 14 business days.

Tips
- Changing the channel linked to the program later is permanent, so pick the right channel.
- YouTube Giving payouts can take up to two months to reach the nonprofit, and totals under US$10 are paid out annually.
- Outside the US, use link cards or your own donation page rather than expecting a Donate button.
