Sendy is software you install on your own web hosting and connect to Amazon SES to send newsletters. You pay a one-off licence fee and then roughly a dollar per 10,000 emails to Amazon, instead of monthly fees that rise with your list size. It suits organisations with a large list and someone who can install and maintain it, or a volunteer or web agency who can.
