About Duck.ai+

Duck.ai is DuckDuckGo's free AI chat. It strips identifying details such as your IP address before sending questions to model providers, does not store your chats by default and says neither DuckDuckGo nor the providers train on them. It is handy for quick, low-risk questions, but it is not a team workspace and it does not make it safe to paste personal data about clients or donors.

DuckDuckGo states that Duck.ai does not record or store chats by default and that chats are not used to train models by DuckDuckGo or its providers. Requests are stripped of identifying metadata so they appear to come from DuckDuckGo. Model providers commit to deleting prompts and responses after generating a reply, though some providers (OpenAI and Anthropic) may keep chats for up to one hour for prompt caching. Sync and Backup chats are end-to-end encrypted. The words you type still reach third-party model providers, so do not paste personal data.
