About ChatGPT+

ChatGPT is OpenAI's AI assistant for drafting appeals and grant applications, summarising documents, analysing spreadsheets, researching topics and carrying out multi-step tasks with its agent and deep research features. Through OpenAI for Nonprofits, verified organisations get ChatGPT Business (the team plan) at a discount and larger organisations can negotiate up to 75% off Enterprise. It is the most widely used assistant, so many staff will already know how to use it, and there is a free plan for trying it out.

Pricing: Nonprofit ChatGPT Business is US$8 per user per month on the annual plan or US$10 on the monthly plan (confirmed on Goodstack, 2 October 2026). Larger organisations can negotiate up to 75% off Enterprise. A free plan exists with limits. Standard prices were not confirmed on an official page (OpenAI's pricing page returned 403); third-party sources report Business at US$20 to US$30 per user per month and Plus at US$20 per month. A third-party source says the US$8 seat may exclude some premium agent features; this is not confirmed.

Data & privacy+

OpenAI's help centre says it does not use ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu workspace content, including content from connected apps, to train its models by default. Business use is covered by OpenAI's services agreement and data processing addendum. Enterprise owners can set a custom retention period (minimum 90 days) and EU data residency is available for Enterprise and Edu workspaces; Business is not listed as eligible for data residency. On Business, chats are otherwise kept until deleted, and OpenAI may retain data for a period for abuse monitoring. Personal Free, Go and Plus accounts have different terms (training can be on unless switched off), so staff should not use personal accounts for sensitive material. OpenAI's own privacy pages returned 403 errors, so these points rely on help-centre summaries and secondary sources.
