About Granola+

Granola is an AI notepad that listens to your meeting from your own device, then turns your rough notes and the transcript into a clear summary. Because it does not send a bot into the call, other people are not interrupted by a recording assistant. It keeps the transcript and your notes but does not keep the audio. Nonprofits can get half price on the Business plan after verification.

Pricing: Basic is free with a 30-day meeting history. Business is US$14 per user per month with unlimited history, integrations and API access. Enterprise is US$35 per user per month with SSO, admin controls and HIPAA support. Annual discounts were not stated on the pricing page.

Data & privacy+

Granola says third parties such as OpenAI and Anthropic may not use your data to train their models. Granola itself trains on anonymised customer data to improve the service unless you opt out in Settings; Enterprise workspaces have this off by default. It does not keep meeting recordings: audio is transcribed live on desktop (or briefly cached on mobile) and only the transcript and your notes are stored. Data is stored on US-hosted AWS with encryption at rest and in transit. SOC 2 Type 2 certified and GDPR compliant, with a data processing agreement on request. Notes are private by default until you share them. Recording consent rules still apply: tell participants.
