About Otter.ai+

Otter.ai joins your online meetings, transcribes them and writes summaries and action items. It suits nonprofits that run lots of calls and want notes without a human note-taker. A nonprofit discount on the Business plan is available through TechSoup.

Pricing: Basic is free with 300 monthly minutes. Pro is US$8.33/month annual (US$16.99 monthly) with 1,200 minutes. Business is US$19.99/user/month annual. Enterprise is custom.

Secondary sources say Otter's privacy policy allows it to train its own AI on de-identified audio and transcripts by default, and that users or organisations must email privacy@otter.ai to opt out; Enterprise contracts negotiate this separately. Reports also say de-identified data may be shared with data-labelling providers and retained as long as necessary. Otter's privacy policy was not read directly, so check it. Consider consent rules in your area before recording calls, as there has been litigation over recording consent.
